Nature Painting Retreat: One Day Workshop with Lunch

This gorgeous event is aimed at both lovers of painting & nature - although you don’t have to be an expert in either. 

Using inspiration from the flowers and plants at Berry Farm,  the retreat will be out working out in nature as much as the weather

permits.

The morning session will cover drawing, including charcoal, line and tone drawings, experiementing with scale, lines, shapes, shadows and negative space. Claire will then demonstrate painting techniques, including mixing between the primaries in the colour wheel, string tones, muted colours and help you practice brush work on paper; making blends to create Alla Prima brushwork. 

A light, home-made and delicious unch will be served as a group.

In the afternoon, the focus will be on your final piece, using all the skills you have learned from earlier sessions. You will take away the skill of looking at objects very carefully and see the transitions of light and colour to leave with a unique artowrk, created by you.

This will be a day long creative retreat, and will include a welcome soft drink, and delicious light lunch served by Berry Farm.

As well as being fascinating and informative; this retreat will be great fun and a wonderful opportunity to spend the day with likeminded, creative, nature-loving souls.
